Following on from my last Blog, it takes about 45min to travel from the Fox & Hounds at Starbotton to Malham, so to get there before dawn it requires an early start. On this particular morning in addition to the waterfall at Sleet Gill Beck which I highlighted in the last blog there was also the vista of the rolling expanse of frozen Moors & Dales.
As you would expect when driving across Yorkshire you are literally going “up hills and down dales”, I spotted this image as I crested a hill and saw this beautiful copse of trees near a farm sitting in the valley below.
As can be seen from the image the trees are displaying their beautiful autumn colours which have been tempered to a pastel palette by the morning frost, which has also spread over the surrounding meadows.
I normally use a canon 5DSR for landscapes, but in the case I had a Fujifilm XT-3 sitting in the passenger well and grabbed it to take this image.
