West Mersea

the early mist clung to the land spilling over the hedges on to the roads,
02/09/2019

I woke on the Sunday morning with the full intention of working towards completing my Essex Village Project. So off i went on my way to West Mersea Island, now as every photographer knows when you are driving you are always looking for images along the way.

On this particular morning it was warm and as such the early mist clung to the land spilling over the hedges on to the roads, as i got within a couple of miles of the sea front at West Mersea i came across this image.

As i had been using the Fujifilm X series of cameras exclusively for this particular project i only had an XT-3 with me and this without a tripod, but the stunning scene had to be captured.

Hand holding the XT-3 i took a few images dodging the passing cars in order to capture the best angle as I did so.

In the post processing i did crop out the road and some of the sky in an attempt to reduce the image to its essence.

Normally i would include in these blogs the actual location, however in this case i did not have a clue where i was other than that it was a road on the way to West Mersea.
